NEWS: Tom Capizzi joins DBA as CG Supervisor

Rochester, Mich. – July 11, 2016 – We at Daniel Brian Advertising are pleased to announced that industry veteran Tom Capizzi has joined our family as CG Supervisor in our Production department.

With 22 years of experience in the visual effects film industry, as well as with Ford Motor Co. here in Detroit, Tom is playing a key role in the expansion of our in-house production department focusing on virtual reality, visual effects, motion capture and 3D animation. Along with adding Tom to our production team, DBA is investing in hardware and software upgrades, including assembling a render farm, several Maya and Nuke artist suites, motion capture suits and the addition of VR cameras. We are also tapping into Tom’s experience as a college instructor, as he will mentor our Creative and Production staff, boosting our capacity to continue to create visually stunning commercials for our growing list of clients.

Beginning as a CG Supervisor for Atari and later working in visual effects for companies such as Rhythm & Hues Studios, Tom has experience as a Look Development Artist, creating the look and characteristics of an animated character, and also as Lighter, 3D Lead Artist and Modeler. His work can be seen in such films as Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Flintstones, Stuart Little, Elf, X2 (X-Men), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, TheHunger Games, and more. He has also taught at several institutions, including Gnomon (Hollywood), Art Center (Pasadena) and Center for Creative Studies (Detroit).
